Date 23 OCTOBER 2012
Time 18:00 - 20:00
Event Type Lecture

Urbaser and Balfour Beatty (UBB) has been selected by Gloucestershire County Council?s Cabinet as its preferred bidder to design, build and operate a state-of-the-art Energy from Waste (EfW) facility at Javelin Park, Haresfield near to junction 12 of the M5 motorway in Gloucestershire.

The proposed facility will treat up to 190,000 tonnes of Gloucestershire?s waste annually, diverting over 92% of Gloucestershire?s residual municipal waste from landfill, preventing the equivalent annual greenhouse gas emissions of nearly one million cars and generating 14.5 megawatts of electricity.

UBB?s presentation from its project team (Urbaser, Axis, Fichtner, Ramboll and Sauce Consultancy) will cover a range of subjects on the project including context, design, technology and public involvement.

For further information on the project,?including newsletters, please see the project website: www.ubbgloucestershire.co.uk?

There is no requirement to book a place to attend, but for all other enquiries please contact Joanne Mallard - joanne.mallard@ice.org.uk / 01752 766230.
