[Abstract]

IntroductionThe United States Tumor Academy recommend cruciferous that include cabbage, broccoli, etc for preventing cancer. The epidemiology shows: The consumption of this kind of vegetables is negative correlation with the morbiloity of cervical cancer, stomach cancer, esophagus cancer, lung cancer, endometria cancer, pancreas cancer, the non-melanoma skin cancer is also. The compound of 3-displacement indole and isothiocyanate were thought the major coponent of preventing cancer in cruciferous. The compound of 3-displacement indole major include: Indole-3-carbinol (DC), 3, 3 -Diidolymethane (DIM) and Indole-3-acetoni trile (IDA). I3C can happen condensation reaction in gastric juice and producte polymer derivative, major indude; dimer DIM, cricoid trimer CTI and non-cricoid trimer BII. Many studies have shown, I3C has the action in the body through these acid reaction products. I3C has activity through oral medication, but it hasnt activity through intraperitoneal.The study think I3C has inhibition to cervical cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, endometria cancer, stomach cancer etc of differentanimals. The principle of preventing cancer, Bradlow thinks that I3Cand its acid condensation products have anti-estrogenic activities. The research shows that the estrogenic acts protection to bone and cardio-vascular system. The estrogenic can inhibite bone loss, increase HDLC, fall LDLC and TC. So anti-estrogenic activities could theoretically cause other problems such as bone loss, cardiovascular problems etc. In order to study the action of I3C in the cardiovascular system, we use the zoopery to study the effect of I3 C on cardiovascular system in mice.Materials and MethodsThe mice were randomly divided into two groups; the central group and the group was fed on a diet supplemented with DC (100mg/kg/d). The animals received these diets for 6 months. The levels plasma total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL choleterol, tri-glycerides were investigated; and the aortic was obsered with light and electron microscopies, t test was used to evaluate the results.ResultsThe LDL cholesterol was increased by I3 C feeding. At the end of 3 months, LDL cholesterol; 0. 53 ? 0. 37mmol/L vs 0. 36 ? 0. 24mmol/L, treated vs control, p < 0. 05. At the end of 6 months, LDL cholesterol; 0. 57 ?0. 35mmol/L vs 0. 38 ?0. 23mmol/L treated vs control, p <0. 05. At the dynamics observation, 13C make LDL increase slowly. At the end of 6 months, the early characteristics of atherosclerosis werent present in the animals? vascular specimens. The action of I3 C on cardiovascular system is smaller.DiscussionAt present, many foreign scientists have studied the action and the principle of BC and its acid condensation product. They think DC can inhibite cervical cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, endometria cancer, stomach cancer, etc. The principle of ISC is association with its anti-estrogenic activities.In corclusion the present study shows that I3C can make LDL increase at the dynamics observation, LDL increase slowly and sus-tainedly. The principle is association with anti-estrogenic activities. The estrogenic metabolism is such as;Bradlow think that 2-OHE has the action of anti-cancer. I3C can induct estradiol. The clinical experiment shows that health people eat ISC for 6 -7mg/kg/d. After 1 week, estradiol 2-hydroxylation can increase 50% . The ratio of 2-hydroxylation estrone in the urine vs estra-triol is increasly patently also. I3C can effect the estrogenic metabolism. Estrogen can fall the active of hepatase, and make liuer uptake and analysis HDLC reducting. Estrogen increase the LDL acceptor of liver cell, increase its activity, accelerant liver cell to uptake and a-nalysis LDL in circulation and fall LDL concentration in circulation. Male mices estrogen deficiency, HDLC level falls, but LDLC leuel increase patently. Therefore, the result of this experiment is fit with the principle that I3C has the action of anti-estrogenic.The experiment shows I3C can?t make artery angiopath
