PARIS (AP) ? French President Nicolas Sarkozy says a military strike is not the way to deal with a nuclear threat from Iran.

Sarkozy was speaking Wednesday at the annual dinner honoring France's Jewish community.

He says Israel is a "miracle" and that "France will not compromise on its security." At the same time, he added, "The solution is never military."

Sarkozy also says it is "unacceptable" for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons as the international community fears it aims to do ? despite Tehran's denials.

Israel considers Iran a threat and has not ruled out military action against sites in Iran suspected of working to build arms.

PARIS (AP) ? President Nicolas Sarkozy and the Socialist candidate leading the race to unseat him in upcoming elections attended an annual dinner Wednesday honoring France's Jewish community in a rare joint appearance.

The dinner hosted by the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France has become a can't-miss date on the French political calendar. It is generally attended by prominent Roman Catholic and Muslim figures as well as leading members of France's large Jewish community.

Sarkozy hasn't announced his candidacy for elections in April and May but is widely expected to seek a second term. He was giving a speech at the dinner, also attended by Socialist candidate Francois Hollande.

The gala affair offered a rare moment in which top officials of France's two leading parties, Sarkozy's UMP and Hollande's Socialists, came together under one roof.

In his dinner address at a meeting hall in the Bois de Boulogne park, on Paris' western rim, Richard Prasquier, the head of the Jewish umbrella group known as CRIF, its French acronym, said the group was "proud" to host "men and women whose opinions diverge and some of whom will battle in universal suffrage."

Prasquier wasted no time in taking aim at France's far-right party, the National Front, and its planned presidential nominee Marine Le Pen, noting that on a commemoration date last month for the Holocaust, she spent it fraternizing with "racist pan-Germanic brotherhoods," a reference to a far-right Vienna ball she attended.

He said flatly: "We will not vote for the National Front."

On international affairs, Prasquier said that CRIF was "taken aback" by the support that France ? under Sarkozy's government ? expressed for the successful Palestinian bid for membership in Paris-based UNESCO last year.

Hollande, whose positions on international politics are not well known, tops opinion polls ahead of the vote amid worries about France's dragging economy and disillusionment with Sarkozy's presidency.

The dinner traditionally has been a time when CRIF announces the number of anti-Semitic attacks it counted in the previous year. Prasquier said they fell 16 percent to 389 in 2011.

Nonetheless, Prasquier said the figures last year pointed to "a very entrenched anti-Semitic foundation" in France. He also praised the role of Sarkozy's government in freeing long-time Gaza captive Gilad Schalit, an Israeli soldier.

Schalit has maintained a low-profile since his release from captivity in Gaza in October in exchange for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners. Schalit, who has both French and Israeli citizenship, made an unusual public appearance by meeting with Sarkozy at the presidential palace along with Schalit's parents.

The couple also attended the CRIF dinner, without their son. Hamas-allied militants captured Schalit in a 2006 cross-border raid, and his plight captured Israel's attention for years.

It comes with a set of sample WorldPay pages files that roughly implements the look of Drupal's Bartik theme for a relatively consistent look throughout the checkout process when using Bartik for the site's theme. Facebook Not the First or Only Business to Exploit Users (ContributorNetwork)

COMMENTARY | It doesn't matter if an internet company goes public, like Facebook's big IPO announcement. Users are exploited to advertisers. This is the way of the business world. Ad dollars makes the world go around. Using or selling user information to businesses isn't anything new; it's been going on long before Facebook.

Don't believe me? Read through any of the terms of service on any website you signed up for. You will find they say they won't sell your information, but they are using what information you provide against you in the advertising world.

Big business buy ad placement on websites just like they do for TV commercial spots. The more they pay; the better spots they get on any given website. The same goes for radio spots.

It doesn't matter if you're listening, socializing or watching online, advertisers pay the bills for free sites like Facebook and even with search engines like Google. Commercial spots, whether video, text blocks, or banners, you get inundated by manufacturers and sales companies.

There's no getting around it, folks. Driving down the interstate, you find billboard ads. Open a newspaper, you find small, medium, and full-page ads; same for magazines. You even see it in any retail store you walk in to.

Don't like it? Stay home in bed under the covers. Don't turn on any electronic device. Don't buy a magazine or newspaper.

You can't even get into a cab or on a bus without some form of advertising staring you down. Don't make a big deal out of Facebook pimping you to advertisers to earn monies on the back side of the program. Don't be mad because investors are going to see a return on their stocks because of being pimped out to the masses of advertisers.

Still don't like it? Close your account. Disconnect your Internet service. Move on to things that don't require you to share anything about yourself. Just don't complain about the rising costs of goods because you want to prove a point.

No matter how well Facebook's IPO does upon release and in the future, the world will still revolve, advertisers will advertise, and life will go on. You will be exploited in one way or another.

Tensions grow as 'Loser' makes awkward exit

Conda's in trouble! Trainer Dolvett had enough of her bad attitude this week.

This week's drama began right where it left off last week on "The Biggest Loser." Moments after the red team sent G-Ma packing (why?!), they all gathered around Nancy's g-daughter, Cassandra, to comfort her. But with tensions still high in the wake of Conda's constant complaining and Adrian's less-than-warm welcome, there wasn't much comfort to be had.

Things got off to an awkward start right away when Adrian followed up a few supportive words to Cassandra with a serious warning to be careful about who she trusted ? a warning that seemed aimed at all their teammates, who were standing right there.

There were several problems with that little exchange. First of all, Adrian's statement instantly shifted the mood of the team from sad about Nancy to angry at him. Second, while Cassandra would have loved to have Nancy around (wouldn't we all?), it seems both she and G-Ma knew the ouster was coming, and they were fine with it. There was no need to warn Cassandra. Besides, unlike Adrian, she's been living with these people for more than a month and has a good grasp on who to trust.

The only thing Adrian's outburst brought to light was that despite the fact that some members of the red team have accused him of game-playing, the man doesn't really know how to play the game.

Calling out his team did him no favors. Instead, it would have been the perfect time for him to hang back and let the focus shift away from his new-guy status and all the unfair mean-girl treatment he received last week. Heck, those mean girls (or at least Conda) were likely enough to steal the spotlight with their own bad behavior eventually.

But that's not Adrian's style -- unfortunately.

So when Conda got around to her requisite, over-the-top complaints, no one had much of a problem with it, as they all had their own complaints, too.

Well, Dolvett Quince had a problem with it. Thanks to a challenge that went in the black team's favor, the reds had to do without Dolvett for most of the week, but the easy-on-the-eyes trainer had his eyes on his team thanks to video footage. That's how he was able to get a look at Conda's workout ways, which involved equal parts exercise and Adrian bashing.

"I don't care!" Dolvett said when he confronted her about the infighting and whining. "You shouldn't care. Stop caring!"

If Dolvett thinks Conda needs to care about something to complain about it, he needs to watch more highlight reels.

While the red team was busy creating and maintaining drama, the black team, it seems, was busy losing weight. Bob Harper's bunch once again bested the reds on the scales, which meant it time for another trip to the elimination room for Dolvett's players.

What happened then was no surprise. The red team, with the notable exception of Roy, voted Adrian out of the game. But unlike the usual teary-eyed farewells on the show, Adrian didn't wish his former teammates luck or even say goodbye. He resented the fact that he wasn't given a chance in the game and he didn't hide it.

As the ascot-wearing playing made for the exit, Mark tried to stop him for one last word. Adrian wouldn't speak to him. He returned only long enough to tell the group, again with the notable exception of Roy, not to go back to the house and embrace his sister Daphne after he'd left -- "for respect for me."

Of course Adrian might have respected the fact that Daphne still has to play a game with these people, and she needs to fit in with the group better than he did if she's going to stick around.
